The goal for updating the Student Experience site was for Microsoft to stop talking at students and to start talking with them. That said, we still needed to present the products and offers. So the new focus of the site is help for students, in and out of class. Some advice is tied directly to products and some is not. But what comes across is that even Microsoft can be personable and is not always pushing the hard sell. In the words of one blogger, it is not longer "just a self-promotion, arrogant-almost web site, this is really a valuable resource for students."
